Another #snydergablefront #beforeandafter as we wrap up this project. Renters move in this week and we couldn’t be happier with how this kitchen remodel turned out. Can you believe there used to be a weird pass-through opening here? Made no sense. Especially since it didn’t even go to the dining room—it went into the bonus room. Looks so much better now with an entire wall of subway tile and an open shelf (don’t worry—there’s a symmetrical shelf on the other side of the sink). What do you think? True to our neighborhood, the full bathroom in the #snydergablefront is cozy. They just didn’t build big bathrooms back in the 1940s apparently. But we did our best to make it feel large with #whitewalls and #marblemosaictile . Using a small mosaic on the floor gives the illusion of a larger space and using real marble makes it feel a little more luxe. The other challenging part of this #tinybathroom remodel was finding a narrow-depth vanity that still offered storage. This one from @loweshomeimprovement definitely came through, especially because it is less than 18” deep! Floor-to-ceiling subway tile, with @mapeiusa Warm Grey grout completes the spa-like feel. This half bath at the #snydergablefront posed a real challenge for us. It’s only 3 feet wide and there was no way to reconfigure the plumbing or door. The hardest part was finding a narrow sink to fit the space. Thank goodness for @ikeausa and the #lillången sink! It also helped to paint over the blood red walls (what were they thinking?!). My favorite part is the chrome drain—it was a splurge but totally worth it. How awful would it be to see PVC under that sleek sink?
